Travel Insurance

After you’ve signed up for your trip, you will want to consider travel insurance. Although we do not require insurance, to protect your investment in the event you need to cancel your tour, trip cancellation and travel insurance is highly recommended. Every year, 5-10% of our clients end up cancelling for a variety of reasons, and many costs are not recoverable. Please see our cancellation policy. Travel insurance is affordable, and a smart addition to your tour.

Travel Guard’s Gold plan has worked well for our tour members for years.
Compare Travel Guard plans and choose among Basic, Silver, Gold or Platinum coverage.

Buy trip insurance within 15 days of paying your deposit for extra coverage, including the option to buy “cancel for any reason” coverage.

Travel Balance

Paying Tour Balance: Your tour balance is due 90 days before your tour starts. Use the button below to charge to your credit card for tour balances, railpasses, or other miscellaneous payments. Change the quantity to reflect the dollar amount you will be paying.

You can pay your tour balance by credit card, wire or check.  Mail a check to our Arizona address, or contact us for wire directions.

Getting Ready

Departure night: Some of you may wish to spend a night in your departure city before flying home the next day. Ask us about adding a night in Prescott, Phoenix, or St. George to your tour. We have comfortable and convenient hotels each city. We can also help with local shuttle services if you have additional travel plans before or after your tour.

Travel Agent: For flights and knowledgeable help with pre- and post-tour plans, contact Yves or Monika at www.avenuesoftheworld.com. They are from Switzerland, based in Flagstaff, with years of experience in the travel industry. Tell them you’ll be taking a Rubicon Outdoors tour, and they can help fill out the rest of your trip.
